The breakthrough features of the Microtizer MT-5 are the freely movable free arm and the new concept contact-type applicator. This enables it to flexibly fit all treatment areas with a simple operation and achieve excellent energy efficiency by a reduction in unwanted radiation. We are proposing a new style of therapy.
Original arm mechanism
Setting with one action
With previous microwave therapy devices, the affected parts were set while adjusting the arm length and angle, but the Microtizer MT-5 is equipped with an arm mechanism originally designed by Minato Medical. There is no need to adjust the length or angle, so the applicator can be set with one action. Flexibly fits all treatment areas, such as shoulders, loins, knees and ankles.
It has a small radius of operation, which's space saving.
As the free arm has a small radius of operation compared to the previous arm, space saving is achieved within the hospital, such as creating space in the therapy space.
Contact-type applicator
The affected part is certainly radiated by making them touch
MT-5 has adopted a new type of applicator that can make contact with and radiate to the affected part. This enables it to be sure of radiating the affected part.
Saving energy by efficient radiating
The contact-type applicator can do radiate to the affected part in a pinpoint fashion. Not only does it perform therapy efficiently, but as there is less unwanted radiation, it has high energy efficiency, thus contributing to power saving.
※When comparing with our previous non-contact device MT-3(left), which has the same output (80W), the MT-5(right) has a high level of heating, providing approximately twice the feeling of warmth. That is to say, the same therapeutic benefits can be achieved with half the power used by previous devices.
Sofa-type applicator
New concept of therapy on a sofa
In addition to the contact-type applicator, the Microtizer MT-5 has a lineup of sofa-type applicators. By assembling the applicator into a sofa, we are providing a new style of microwave therapy. Further, as it reduces unwanted radiation, the same sense of warmth can be achieved with lower output of radiation than in previous devices. The impact of microwave leakage can be greatly reduced.
Therapeutic style that allows the patient to relax
The previous microwave treatment forced the burden of maintaining the same position while keeping a fixed distance between the applicator and affected part on the patient. With the sofa-type applicator that is equipped with a reclining function, therapy can be received in a relaxed state while sitting comfortably. Further, as it is not necessary to set the arm, the burden on the operator is reduced.
The function that’s kind to both a patient and an operator is substantial
Indicators and display that allow the treatment state to be grasped with a glance
An indicator that enables you to grasp the treatment state with a glance is placed on the rear face of the contact-type applicator as well. Further, the operating panel has also been loaded with a high visibility display using LED, enabling the treatment channels to be understood at a glance.
Saving energy by efficient radiating
The applicator consists of the 3 types of spot type, wide type and sofa type. It is possible to achieve efficient treatment and energy saving by choosing the type based on the treatment area and method.
It’s added mild mode which demonstrates heating capabilities
“Mild mode” is equipped in addition to the “continuous mode”, “intermittent mode” and “3D mode” present on the previous device. Using high efficiency heating capability possible close coupled-type applicators, the output can be gradually lowered while maintaining the effective temperature, reducing this by up to 1/2 in 5 minutes.
Drastic reduction in unwanted radiation
In previous non-contact type applicators, the microwaves are dispersed within spaces other than the patient's areas, this cannot only reach other patients or operators, but can also interfere with surrounding treatment devices and PCs. In the contact-type applicator in this device and sofa-type applicator, this kind of unwanted radiation has been greatly reduced.
